Every year on March 8, International Women’s Day invites organizations across the world to pause, reflect, and recommit to progress. The 2026 theme, Give To Gain, reframes how we think about equality. Advancement does not come from competition for limited space. It comes from expanding the space itself.
When we give knowledge, we gain confidence. When we give opportunity, we gain innovation. When we give support, we gain stronger teams.
This year’s message is simple but powerful. Gender equality grows where generosity exists. Not charity. Not symbolism. Intentional contribution.
Why “Give To Gain” Matters in Technology
Technology moves fast. Culture sometimes does not.
For decades, the conversation about women in technology focused on access. Access to education. Access to hiring. Access to advancement. Those conversations were necessary, but they were only the beginning. Today, the conversation is about participation and influence.
Organizations grow stronger when people share knowledge openly, mentor actively, and advocate consistently. Progress accelerates when opportunity is multiplied instead of guarded.
Give To Gain asks a different question. Not who deserves a seat at the table, but how we build a bigger table together.
In the technology industry, giving can look like mentoring junior consultants, inviting different perspectives into project decisions, encouraging leadership development, or making space for new ideas in technical conversations. Each action creates a ripple effect. Small contributions compound into structural change.
Mayan Technologies: Building Opportunity Into the Culture
At Mayan Technologies, equality is not a campaign that appears once a year. It is a practice that shows up in how we hire, collaborate, and grow.
Women represent nearly half of the company. More importantly, women help guide the direction of the business. More importantly, women actively help guide the direction of the business. A strong share of our senior leadership, including partners and a senior partner, is held by women. Representation exists not only across departments but also at the decision making level.
Our work in ERP industry requires constant collaboration. Solutions are built through dialogue, not hierarchy. Because of that, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and visibility naturally become part of daily operations.
We see Give To Gain in action when a consultant takes extra time to coach a colleague through a complex implementation. When a project manager encourages a junior team member to present to a client. When leadership invites new perspectives into strategic planning discussions. Growth is rarely a single moment. It is usually a series of intentional contributions from many people.
Giving Beyond Roles
Giving does not belong only to leadership positions. It exists in every department and every level of experience.
Sharing expertise with a teammate, recommending someone for a project, celebrating achievements publicly, or simply making room for a new voice in a meeting all contribute to a healthier professional environment. These actions create confidence, and confidence creates advancement.
When one person grows, the team grows. When the team grows, the organization grows. That is Give To Gain in practice.
Voices from the Women of Mayan Technologies
International Women’s Day is ultimately about people, not statistics. This year, we invited the women of Mayan Technologies to reflect on the theme Give To Gain and what it means in their day to day work. Their perspectives focus on contribution, mentorship, shared knowledge, and the impact of supporting one another’s growth.
Below are some personal reflection from our team on how giving time, experience, encouragement, or opportunity has shaped their career and the team around them.

"To me, Give To Gain means stepping into rooms where you may be the only woman and leading anyway. The opportunities that shaped my career came from leaders who trusted me before I felt ready. Now, I create that same space for my team. When we give trust, knowledge, and high standards, we don’t just build better systems we build stronger leaders and lasting impact" |

The moments that shape our careers often come from someone choosing to share knowledge, offer encouragement, or open a door that might otherwise stay closed. I’ve been fortunate to receive that support throughout my journey, and I believe one of the most meaningful ways we grow as leaders is by creating those same opportunities for others.” |

The moments that shaped my growth were when someone took the time to explain a process, offer feedback, or trust me with creative responsibility. Now, I aim to do the same through the content I create. When we share knowledge and create space for others to understand and grow, we all move forward together. |

A Shared Responsibility
Give To Gain is not limited to one day. It is a mindset that influences how organizations operate throughout the year. Equality grows where people actively contribute to each other’s success.
We are proud of the women who lead, build, support, and innovate at Mayan Technologies. Their impact reaches our clients, our partners, and our community every day.
International Women’s Day reminds us that meaningful change rarely comes from a single initiative. It comes from consistent participation. From mentorship offered freely. From opportunities shared intentionally. From recognition given generously.
When we give, we gain more than progress. We gain stronger teams, better ideas, and a more connected workplace.
This same mindset extends beyond our internal culture. Through our community initiatives and partnerships, we continue to share time, expertise, and resources with organizations that support children and families. The principle remains the same whether inside our office or outside it. Contribution multiplies impact.
At Mayan Technologies, collaboration is at the heart of how we work with each other and with our clients. Knowledge shared openly leads to better solutions, and better solutions lead to lasting relationships.
