One Month. Twenty-Four Activities. One Mayan Noble

For the next month, we're setting aside time to celebrate something truly special: our journey, our accomplishments, and most importantly, the people who have made the last twelve years possible.

Mayanniversary is more than our company anniversary. It's our opportunity to connect beyond projects and meetings, challenge ourselves, share a few laughs, and create memories together as one team.

​

Throughout the month, you'll find a full calendar of funtivities designed to test your creativity, knowledge, problem-solving, teamwork, and maybe even a little luck. Every activity gives you the opportunity to earn points, move up the leaderboard, and compete for this year's most prestigious honor: Mayan Noble.

Below you'll find the complete schedule of this year's activities. Some challenges are already open and ready for you to jump into today. Others will unlock throughout the month as Mayanniversary unfolds. Simply look for the active buttons to participate, and keep checking back as new activities become available.

Please note that while every effort has been made to keep the schedule final, dates or activities may occasionally change. If they do, we'll keep everyone informed through the Company Portal.

Mayanniversary is more than a month of friendly competition, it's also an opportunity to earn valuable Rewards Points in the Mayan Technologies Rewards Program.

Every activity you complete helps you climb the Mayanniversary leaderboard while also increasing your Rewards balance for future recognition and rewards.

How it Works

Successfully complete any Mayanniversary funtivity and you'll automatically receive 1 Rewards Point.


There are multiple ways to earn Rewards Points throughout Mayanniversary:

  • Up to 24 Points by participating in this year's funtivities (1 point per completed activity).

  • Up to 15 Points by applying this year's official Mayanniversary LinkedIn banner to your LinkedIn profile.

  • Up to 20 Points by participating in the Tech with Purpose t-shirt social media campaign.

Rewards

Official Competition Rules

Mayanniversary is all about celebrating together through friendly competition, creativity, and fun. These guidelines are here to make sure every activity is fair, enjoyable, and consistent for everyone.

 

Please take a few minutes to review them before participating. Failure to comply with any of the rules below is grounds for disqualification from the Mayanniversary competition. We hope that won't be necessary, but maintaining a fair experience for everyone is our top priority.

Play Hard. Work First.

We encourage everyone to participate in as many activities as possible, but your work responsibilities always come first. Our goal is to create opportunities to have fun without interfering with your day-to-day commitments.

​

Activities have been scheduled throughout the month to provide flexibility, allowing you to participate whenever your schedule permits. Please plan accordingly and always prioritize your responsibilities


Individual Competition

Unless an activity is specifically identified as a team challenge, every submission and answer must be your own. Collaborating with others, sharing answers, or receiving outside assistance creates an unfair advantage and may result in disqualification from that activity.

Don't worry, there will be several opportunities throughout the month to work together during activities designed for teamwork.

​

Fair Play

The objective is to challenge yourself while enjoying the experience. Please respect the rules of each activity and compete honestly.

​

The use of third-party tools or outside assistance is not permitted. For example, using applications such as Shazam during Song Trivia, AI tools to solve riddles or puzzles, or any other external resource intended to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification from that activity.

​

Official Scores

Each activity is hosted on a platform selected to provide accurate scoring and a consistent experience for all participants. The results recorded by the official platform will be considered the final results for that activity.

​

Personal screenshots, recordings, videos, or other forms of evidence cannot be used to dispute or replace the official scores. If a technical issue occurs, please let the event host know immediately so it can be addressed before the activity concludes.

​

Be On Time

Many of our funtivities are live events involving multiple participants, so punctuality is important. Please join a few minutes early to make sure your internet connection, audio, and equipment are working properly before the activity begins.

​

Activities will start at the scheduled time and cannot be delayed for late arrivals or individual technical issues. If you're unable to attend a particular event, don't worry. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the month to participate and earn points.


Have Fun!

Competition is part of the experience, but it isn't the purpose of Mayanniversary. The goal is to celebrate another year together, connect with teammates across the company, and enjoy the activities we've planned.​

One of the simplest ways you can help make a difference this Mayanniversary is by wearing your Tech with Purpose t-shirt and sharing it with your network.

This year's campaign supports Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit resort that provides life-changing, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families. Throughout July, we're raising awareness of this incredible organization while showing how technology can create a meaningful impact beyond business.

Act 01 - Geek Out Party

Marvel or Star Wars? There's only one question that matters... and your vote will decide the fate of the entire event. Before game day, everyone will vote for their favorite universe. Will Earth's Mightiest Heroes take the spotlight, or will the Force prove too strong to overcome? Whichever receives the most votes becomes our Geek Out Party theme, and everyone will play together. Once the winner is crowned, get ready for a fast-paced showdown packed with Picture Trivia, Friendly Fire, Pick Who, Would You Rather, classic trivia questions, and a few surprises along the way. Every challenge is designed to test just how well you know your chosen universe. Whether you're the kind of person who can quote every movie or you simply enjoy a little friendly competition, this is your chance to prove your fandom once and for all.

Act 2- Song Trivia

Think you know your music? Time to prove it. Song Trivia is one of our most competitive Mayanniversary funtivities. You'll hear short song clips and race against your coworkers to identify the correct artist before anyone else. Sounds easy... until that song you know suddenly disappears from your memory. Each session features a different musical theme, so whether you're an expert on 90s pop, know every Latin hit by heart, or never skip a country playlist, everyone will have a chance to shine. The only question is... how quickly can you recognize the song?

How to Participate

1. Accept the Outlook Invitation
An Outlook invitation will be sent before each session. Simply accept the invitation to reserve your spot.

 

Important! Registration closes 1-hour before each game begins.

 

2. Join the Game

Act 03 - Sliding Puzzle

Our annual Sliding Puzzle Challenge is back, ready to test your patience, strategy, and problem-solving skills. At first glance, it looks simple. Just slide the pieces into the empty space until the image is complete. Easy... right? Not quite.

 

What starts as a quick puzzle has a way of becoming an obsession. One wrong move can send you several steps backward, while the perfect sequence can shave precious seconds off your time. The question is: can you keep your cool and solve it faster than everyone else?​​​

This Mayanniversary classic is back, and it's ready to challenge both your vocabulary and your strategy. Instead of solving just one word, you'll face eight consecutive words, each one standing between you and the top of the leaderboard.

Every letter matters. Guess wisely, because every incorrect answer brings you one step closer to completing the hangman drawing. Move too cautiously and you'll lose valuable time. Move too quickly and mistakes can cost you the game.

Everyone has a story. Some are hilarious, some are surprising... and a few might leave you wondering, "Wait... who actually admitted that?" In this live guessing game, your coworkers will anonymously answer a series of funny confession prompts. Your mission is simple: read each confession, study the clues, and figure out who you think wrote it.

Some answers will be obvious. Others will completely surprise you. Just remember... today's detective could easily become tomorrow's suspect. Get ready for plenty of laughs, unexpected revelations, and the occasional "I can't believe that was you!"

Act 06 - Blanks

Blanks is a fast-paced party game where you'll fill in the blank with the funniest response you can think of. There are no right or wrong answers, only the ones that make everyone laugh the hardest. Each round begins with a sentence missing a key word or phrase. You'll choose the response from your hand that creates the funniest, most unexpected, or most ridiculous result. Once everyone has submitted their answer, the reader will reveal them one by one before choosing their favorite. The best part? You never know what combination is coming next. If you've ever wondered what happens when a room full of coworkers competes to make each other laugh, this is your chance to find out.

Act 07 - Word Search

Forty words. One grid. One goal.

Hidden throughout the puzzle are 40 words inspired by Mayan Technologies, our industry, and the Mayanniversary celebration. Some will jump out immediately. Others will make you question whether you've been staring at the same row for five minutes.

​

This challenge is all about speed, concentration, and a sharp eye for detail. Stay focused, scan carefully, and don't let those sneaky diagonal words catch you off guard. The faster you find every word, the higher you'll climb on the leaderboard.

How to Participate

 

* Before game day, create an account or sign in to puzzel.org.

* If you've participated in previous Mayanniversary events, you can simply use your existing account.

 

When the activity opens, click the button below to launch the puzzle and begin the challenge.

How it Works

Your objective is to find all 40 hidden words as quickly as possible. The timer begins the moment you start the puzzle and continues running until you've found the final word. If you need to leave, your progress and timer will be saved, allowing you to continue where you left off.

​

Once you've found all 40 words, a completion window will appear confirming that you've successfully finished the activity. Participation points are awarded only upon 100% completion of the puzzle.

​

Points

Final standings are determined by the fastest completion time. If two participants finish with the same time, the player who submitted their completed puzzle first will receive the higher placement.

Act 08 - GuessMoji?

Can you speak fluent emoji? Some emoji combinations are obvious. Others will have you wondering, "How was I supposed to get that?" In GuessMoji, you'll race against your coworkers to decode a series of emoji puzzles before anyone else.

​

Every round presents a new challenge, and every second counts. Think quickly, trust your instincts, and don't overthink it. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one... and sometimes it's definitely not.

​

Whether you're an emoji enthusiast or someone who still uses 😊 for everything, this fast-paced challenge is guaranteed to deliver plenty of laughs and a few unexpected surprises.

Act 09 - The Mayan Race

Will you know your way around the resort? We will find out.

For one day only, Dreams Natura becomes your playground. Hidden throughout the resort are a series of missions designed to challenge your observation skills, creativity, problem-solving, and sense of adventure. Some will have you solving riddles. Others will send you searching for hidden locations, recreating photos, or completing unexpected challenges.

​

The best part? There isn't just one way to play.

Complete the missions at your own pace anytime before tonight's Mayanniversary Celebration. Whether you finish in 30 minutes or spend the afternoon exploring every corner of the resort, every completed mission brings you one step closer to earning valuable Mayanniversary points.

​

Just remember... things aren't always as easy as they appear.

How to Participate

​

1. Click the Great Mayan Race Passport using the button below.
2. Complete the five missions in any order before 7:00 PM (Celebration Event).
3. Upload the requested photos and answers as proof of completion.
4. Join us at the Celebration to find out who conquered the resort and who earned the title of Great Mayan Racer.

How it Works

  • Complete the missions at your own pace between the start of the activity and 7:00 PM.

  • Missions may be completed in any order.

  • Every mission requires either a photo, video, or answer to verify completion.

  • All photos and videos must be taken on the day of the event at Dreams Natura Resort.

  • Outside assistance, internet searches, or help from other participants is not permitted unless specifically stated in the mission.

  • Most importantly, have fun exploring!

Points

Each completed mission is worth 4 POINTS, giving you the opportunity to earn 20 POINTS in total.

Complete all five missions to receive the maximum score.​​
